Port Burwell Historical Society

we are working on the following additions to our notables

Ralph Hurley

Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published November 25, 1980 with caption: "The Last Time - Ralph Hurley, right, the creator of the 80-foot boat The Last Time stands with boat building assistant Brian Shelly as the pair await the launching of the vessel on Saturday at 2 p.m. Mr. Hurley has been building boats in Port Burwell since 1950 and is determined that this will be his last."  Photo from the Elgin County Archives.

Meet the small group of friends, working hand in hand with the Town of Port Burwell, to preserve the history of Port Burwell and our connection to Lake Erie and the Great Lakes.
